CleanSpark Expands Bitcoin Mining Operations in Wyoming
CleanSpark, a leading Bitcoin mining company, recently announced its acquisition of the first Bitcoin mining farm in Wyoming. The company has secured power contracts for 75 MW, with plans to bring 30 MW online by the end of 2024 at the initial site. Additionally, CleanSpark is set to add another 45 MW of power at a second location in Wyoming, further strengthening its computing power in the region.
Increasing Hash Rate and Operational Timeline
Once operational, the new facility in Cheyenne is expected to significantly boost CleanSpark’s hash rate by more than 2 exahashes per second. The company aims to have the first site up and running by the end of the year, utilizing state-of-the-art immersion-cooled technology for efficient operations. CleanSpark’s CEO, Zach Bradford, expressed excitement about expanding the company’s presence in Wyoming and collaborating with local, state, and national stakeholders for further growth.

In addition to its Wyoming expansion, CleanSpark recently acquired GRIID Infrastructure, adding to its growing portfolio in three states.
