Supporting Our Troops: The 11th Annual Troops BBQ in Chicago
The 11th Annual Troops BBQ is back in Chicago, bringing together New Car Dealers to raise funds for local troops and their families. This annual event has become a beloved tradition in the community, bringing people together for a great cause.
A Tradition of Giving Back
Started in 2013, the Troops BBQ was established through a partnership between the Chicago Automobile Trade Association and the United Service Organizations. What began as a small gathering with a few hot dogs has now blossomed into an annual festival that has raised over $1.1 million for our local troops.
Each year, the BBQ brings together members of the community to enjoy freshly grilled food, entertainment, and camaraderie. It’s a chance for people to show their support for the men and women who serve our country.
Ways to Get Involved
For those unable to attend the BBQ in person, there are still ways to support the cause. By visiting a participating dealer and taking a test drive in July, a donation will be made to the USO to support our troops. It’s a simple yet impactful way to make a difference.
On Saturday, July 13, multiple barbecue events will take place across Chicago, offering the community a chance to come together, have fun, and give back. Whether it’s through attending an event or taking a test drive, every contribution helps in supporting our troops.
If you’re interested in participating or learning more about the event, you can find a list of participating dealers in 2024 by visiting cata.info/2024-BBQ-for-the-Troops.
As we come together to support our troops, let’s remember the sacrifices they make and the importance of showing our gratitude. The Troops BBQ is not just a fundraiser—it’s a symbol of our community’s commitment to those who serve and protect us.
