Nailwal Fellowship Program: Supporting Innovation in the Web3 Space
The Nailwal Fellowship program, established by Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal, aims to nurture the brightest minds in the web3 space. This initiative offers financial support, mentorship, and resources to explore innovative web3 ideas and develop new crypto projects or startups.
Empowering Visionaries in Web3
Sandeep Nailwal, a renowned Indian entrepreneur and blockchain expert, co-founded Polygon (formerly Matic Network) in 2017. Polygon is a leading layer 2 scaling solution that provides scalable and user-friendly solutions for decentralized applications. Nailwal’s leadership has been instrumental in establishing Polygon as a cornerstone of the web3 ecosystem.
Inaugural Success and Future Goals
In its first edition, the Nail Fellowship awarded eight researchers with $50,000 each, along with technical support and networking opportunities. The recipients, including students and industry professionals, worked on diverse projects ranging from advanced cross-chain infrastructure to AI data markets.
Applications for the 2024 cohort are now open until 22 July 2024. The selected scholars will receive financial grants, technical resources, mentorship, and access to industry leaders and investors. The program aims to foster innovation in the web3 space by supporting projects for six months.
Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
The Nail Fellowship is actively encouraging more female applicants to address the gender imbalance in the web3 field. Collaborations with organizations like SheFi and HER DAO are creating a more inclusive environment for the next generation of web3 innovators.
