Actor Gabriel Olds Pleads Not Guilty to Alleged Sexual Assaults in Los Angeles
A 52-year-old actor and screenwriter, Gabriel Olds, pleaded not guilty Thursday to a series of alleged sexual assaults in Los Angeles. Olds, a New Yorker and Yale University graduate, was arrested in the Crestwood Hills area above Brentwood.
Charges and Allegations
Olds was charged with three counts of forcible rape, rape of an unconscious person, sodomy with force, and assault with intent to rape. The alleged crimes took place between January and September 2013, with multiple victims coming forward to report incidents of sexual assault.
Investigation and Arrest
The Los Angeles Police Department received reports from women who claimed Olds used his status and industry connections to lure them into dates that turned violent. Detective Brent Hopkins stated that Olds employed charm initially but resorted to violent tactics during sexual encounters. Following an investigation, Olds was arrested near Norway Lane East and Norman Place.
