The BitGet Wallet’s Rapid Growth and Key Drivers
The BitGet wallet has experienced remarkable growth, with its user base doubling to 30 million in less than a year. In July 2024, the wallet surpassed MetaMask in global application downloads, with over 1.7 million downloads – a 140% increase from the previous month.
Meme Coin, TON Ecosystem, BWB Token: Key Factors Behind BitGet Wallet’s Success
The platform’s growth can be attributed to its advanced on-chain trading capabilities, particularly in memecoins. BitGet has emerged as a leading wallet in the meme coin ecosystem, offering features like smart money tracking, automatic slippage, zero gas fees, and instant trading modes on Solana and Basechain.
The TON ecosystem has also played a significant role in driving growth, becoming the network with the highest transaction volume in the BitGet wallet, surpassing chains like Polygon, Arbitrum, and BNB Chain.

The recently launched BWB token has further boosted the BitGet ecosystem, serving roles in community governance, staking, and gas payments across multiple chains. This has led to increased user engagement, particularly in key markets like Japan and Nigeria.
European, North American, and Oceanian wallets are experiencing the fastest growth, with Russia, Italy, Sweden, and Australia seeing significant user increases. Countries like France, the UK, Turkey, and Canada have also witnessed user surges of over 1,000%.
Chief Operating Officer Alvin Kahn emphasized BitGet Wallet’s success in adapting to various markets and meeting global user demands, showcasing the company’s commitment to expanding its market share and advancing the industry.
The growth of BitGet Wallet aligns with the broader trends in decentralized finance (DeFi), where the user base of Web 3.0 applications reached a record high in Q2 2024, with over 10 million daily unique active wallets (dUAW).
This surge in DeFi wallet usage reflects the growing interest in decentralized applications (dApps) and the increasing adoption of Web 3.0 technologies.
Enhancing User Experience in Web 3.0
Despite impressive growth, Kahn acknowledges the challenge of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) complexity in the Web 3.0 space. Users often face intricate blockchain processes and terminology, which can be overwhelming, especially for newcomers accustomed to Web2 interfaces.
“UI/UX needs to be like Web2, and Web2 does it really well. That shouldn’t be an excuse for you not being able to do it in Web3. I think the move from Web2 to Web3 has something to do with better talent moving from Web2 to Web3, such as improving the UI of the product,” Kahn explained in an interview with BeInCrypto.
