At approximately 9:38 a.m., officers responded to a report of an assault involving a person driving the Chevrolet Silverado and pointing a gun at individuals near 118th Street and Freeman Avenue. Upon police arrival, a man attempted to flee from the scene but was apprehended. The remaining four individuals in the pickup truck then fled at high speed, ignoring police orders. A pursuit ensued, with the Chevrolet eventually crashing into the building on 116th Street.
Injuries and Rescue Efforts
Following the crash, two men were able to exit the rear passenger seat on their own, while two women were trapped in the driver and front passenger seats. Firefighters were called to the scene to assist in freeing the trapped individuals. One man and two women sustained serious injuries and were transported to the hospital, where they are currently in stable condition.
