The Future of Disneyland Resort and Disney California Adventure
The massive expansion plans announced for Disneyland Resort and Disney California Adventure promise to bring new experiences and attractions to the beloved theme parks in the coming years. These plans were unveiled at the second night of D23, Disney’s ultimate fan convention held in Anaheim every two years.
New Additions at Disney California Adventure
One of the most exciting announcements at the event was the new Avatar-inspired land coming to Disney California Adventure. This new land will be located at a secret location within the park and will draw inspiration from the upcoming Avatar sequels. Additionally, a new Pixar-inspired attraction based on the film Coco was announced, which will feature advanced audio-animatronics technology.
Marvel’s Avengers Campus Expansion
Marvel fans have reason to rejoice with the news of two new attractions at Disney California Adventure’s Avengers Campus. The first attraction, Avengers: Infinity Defense, will transport guests to various locations across the Marvel Universe, while the second attraction, the Stark Flying Laboratory, will offer a unique experience where riders are paired up with different Avengers heroes.
Disney CEO Bob Iger even tested the new attraction alongside Iron Man himself, Robert Downey Jr., who will reprise his role as Tony Stark in the experience.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and More
In addition to the exciting announcements at Disney California Adventure, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, inspired by the film “The Princess and the Frog,” has officially opened at Disneyland Park. This new attraction offers guests a musical adventure through the Bayou.
With all these new additions and expansions, the future of Disneyland Resort and Disney California Adventure looks brighter and more magical than ever before.
