A man was recently arrested in connection to the murder of Carla Thron, whose charred body was discovered along a highway in Bakersfield in 2022. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department announced that Juan Figuroa, 30, was taken into custody on Wednesday, Aug. 14, in San Fernando on suspicion of killing the 27-year-old victim.

Authorities revealed that over the past year and eight months, homicide detectives, along with support from the California Highway Patrol and the San Fernando Police Department, conducted a thorough investigation into Thron’s murder.
